The idea is a really good one, but, given the history of this server and the ridiculousness perpetrated on every side, even I have to be suspicious of the motives and sincerity of the decision. However, countless guilds in the history of EQ were created from a split in the top guild. I was actually thinking that it might be the only way for a competitive guild on Red to last more than a few months.
I don't pvp so I do not have a dog in this fight, so to speak, but if you find yourself in need of an unbiased mediator, I am good with conflict resolution and would gladly help out in the best interests of everyone. If you decide to go for it, two months to contesting Trak might be a little overly ambitious. If 60% or more of the guild is experienced raiders it is definitely doable, but it takes a while to turn a casual player into a hardcore raider. The learning curve for the officers and leader is just as steep at first. If you can shrug off the impatience and avoid rushing new people into raiding you all get a chance to learn from each other. If the person is genuinely new to EQ or to raiding in EQ it takes about a month of raiding 3 days a week to fully grasp the role of their class and the purpose behind it. Another month to have them unlearn bad habits and to instill good ones. When all is said and done you are looking at 2 to 3 months just to field a competent and proficient raid force. If you are slave-drivers you might be able to get to Trak at around the 4 month mark. Conservatively about 6 months to be a well-oiled machine. 4 to 5 months is more realistic, but you must be careful not to hurry. I mean no offense I just didn't want anyone taking anything only at face value. Even taking it slow and steady 8 months is plenty of time.

this whole rift, of nilly vs azrael is some kind of sick delusion made up to propogate the non nilly into staying out of nilly, but i have to got to say the best time of my EQ career was IN nihilum.
why? because theyre guild fuctioned as a proper guild. noting i have seen on this server comes close. thats what im offering.

no, what im saying is, lets make a second guild worth contesting against nihilum a real guild, with real rules, with real goals.
the big boys need to sit down and really talk this out. if you play this server 6+ hours a day like i do, you need to be talking to me if your not in nihilum
