I think what we need to look more closely at is his Regen rate. Most places note that he has an insanely high regeneration rate which will skew everyones numbers on his actual health the longer the fight takes.

Makes the 32k hp with high regen make sense for that 55k dps 8 minute fight.

How does your site get their info, Crom? mqemulator has basically the same information, but IIRC MacroQuest didn't get HP totals which is why Nilbog wanted people to run around slaughtering stuff on EQ Mac.

Also if he really did have 200HP/tick or some Korocustian number then I don't see how a druid would ever be able to solo him with damage shield and a L45 pet.. It would be a multiple hour fight.

Going into this fight, I really did not give us a chance having killed him
several times in the past with as much as 14 people. The fewest I've done it
in the past has been 8 people and I remembering that to be a difficult
battle.

I get the distinct feeling I am breaking the hearts of a few druids here, but I really don't think you should be able to solo him in Velious.

I think they'll live, no one is dire charming anything anytime soon.

well I did JUST solo this guy the other day ! lol

My only experience with it was on mac, and I duo'd it from time to time, with much difficulty, with a 60 Druid and 60 beast. No AA's, velious gear and was only possibly because of the luclin era Druid ghetto ch and the beast's copy/paste ranger epic with the slow proc, which LANDED if I was lucky. If it didn't land soon, I'd have to bail and try later. I didn't use a tash stick. If I got my early slow in, I'd still end the fight near oom and leave it to rng to do enough damage.

Using real classes.. Warrior/cleric/monk all 60 no AA's and velious gear, the fight was so much easier, even without slow. Granted, this was still using whatever PoP era resist/damage/AC systems which might have changed it a little but not too much.

Those rides just seemed bigger when we were kids.

wonder what he looks like now on live is he super buffed or unchanged ?

Edit: almost made it there, they don't seem to be buffed on live, but had to log for the day will check tomorrow.
nice that you can see the correct faction hits with real point on live.
