My mother-in-law makes goat milk soap all the time. I just grabbed a random recipe offline. People seem to like it for whatever reason.

all about Dr Bronners... is a miracle in a bottle.. so safe you can wash babeis and pets and brush your teeth with it yet it dissolves dirt and oil unlike emulsion action of soap... one of the safest, best working, best value from a fair trade/organic/sustainable use company.. brilliant!
Yes, I've used it some in the past. You can even use as a household cleaner; the stuff is strong.. A little tooo strong for me, even diluted into oblivion.

This is what I'll be trying next! Depending how expensive lye and things are.

So the results: all of the coconut oil went up, and all of the salt went down. Top layer of coconut oil came right off in the shower so I put it in my hair. It was kind of nice having one side rough with salt and the other smooth. Wouldn't call this a failure but maybe I should look for something safe and rough that stays suspended in oil after being mixed. Added lavender essential oil and it smells wonder.

I'd like to make my own soap, but I'm like Jack Nicholson when it comes to bars of soap..

I promote making homemade soap and I've done it myself... that said: I have psorasis and I can say with some certainty... pretty much all soaps that clean are going to dry out your skin (name of the game, soaps cut oil, skin uses oil to stay moist...) so just gotta lotion up after... :/

Well, I don't place much stock in holistic cures to systemic autoimmune diseases but I'm willing to give it a shot. Got a guide on how to make some, where to buy it, or how to make it? I've used hemp lotion before, just like any other lotion.

Yes. Because of this, I've only been washing my feet and other dirty areas. Stopped soaping my legs, torso, neck and arms months ago. Most days I only do my feet, 'cause they get pretty dirty somehow and the skin there is less sensitive.

Water with an exfoliating thing is enough for most of the body.

EDIT: Oh I wash my face twice a day. It does better for some reason. Maybe the oil production was too much when I tried to acclimate it to no soap at first and would have improved, but it caused me to break out a bit so I started washing it again.
