Outhealed a nuking wizard recently and then took him out as a cleric. Wizards overrated, and among the first to die in a group pvp situation.

best advice, play whatever you think you'll have the most fun with. Every class has it's strengths and weaknesses.

My main alt and main pvp toon is a 60 wizard. It was one of the most fun times I had leveling her and pvping with her. Wizard is also good at farming with the right equipment. VP Rend Robe is literally the best PvE item in game after Epic/Manastone/ManaRobe.

most druids or wizards that are my level get raped as a cleric, red con or at lvl 60? things may differ than at 55

Always been a fan of the Wizard class. It used to be an insta-win with the unlimited range quad spells but now you have to play tactical or you will get Mitic'd.
