I have a friend I got started playing EQ. He had a son who was about 15 at the time. His son was getting in some trouble.. hanging out with the wrong people and such.

His Dad got him playing EQ and it really changed his life around.

He wanted to stay home and play instead of going out starting shit. His Dad said if he went to school and at least passed, he could continue to play eq and would pay for it.

He is now an electrician making 35 an hour and still plays MMO's.

Not a bad idea, unless the kid gets so addicted he just gives up on life.

But... it's not a bad idea if you watch them.

Maybe set another limit wherein they need at least 1 friend to stay over for the night each month.

Kind of fun to think about all of the things you could request that they do if they want EQ.

Mow the lawn is another good one. Take out the trash. Etc.

Ok so I played the first few years of EQ on a 56k only able to play after 10pm during high school. (meant no sleep usually) Not exactly a sick number considering this was over 4 years but I never AFK'd and well it is a cool picture I still have saved from when I retired in 04.
