Originally it was just a static spawn irrelevant to the golems I'm pretty sure but that was either never implemented here cause it wasn't reported early enough or it was patched out. I honestly forget.

Dunno, it got reported pretty early! The shaman epic is pretty easy as-is though, they may not have wanted to gimp it even further.
