5.) The population. Now, this is a catch 22. Who the fuck wants to solo to 60? RED PLAYERS. Who doesn't want to solo to 60, just to get ganked ever step along the way? BLUE players. commons fucking sense people. This is a P99 PVP server, yes. I accept that. PVP servers on live never held the player base that the pvp servers did. Its not a surprise that an emulator has the same relative statistics. Bottom line is, if you want to PVP on an emulated p99 server, stop fucking bitching that the pop is so low and just play. The pope is never going to be equal to blue. It never was in live. Take it for what it is.

it's like you make the atomic bomb (server) and you don't want to let other countries (guilds) have nuclear secrets (under the radar information). it's gm's business and no one else's or else everyone gets nuked. letting Iran or North Korea beta test and keep the successful nukes, makes other countries uncomfortable.

Red isn't for everyone. Rolling on red with no pals, no gear, and no guild support network is like going into BUDS and hoping to come out a Navy Seal. The attrition rate is massive. I started here solo and made some pals along the way, fellow new players without a pot to piss in, out of 15 that I met somewhere between collecting bonechips and cb belts and City of Mist, I think 3 still log in.

Red has lots of flaws, you outlined many of them that are beaten to death on the forums on a daily basis, but a lot of the equation falls with the player who chooses to roll here.

+/- 4, increased EXP, and maybe shielding them from the harsh server realities that are ejaculated across their ooc chat box might help in player retention but at the end of the day most ring the bell because they don't like being PKed (and refer to it as being griefed) or don't like a highly competitive environment.
I agree server needs to be more casual. I was dumb to think otherwise. I'll admit XP nerf was a real bad move. And that anything else to make it more hardcore and less blue is dumb.
