But yeah, my logs of leveling through 45 at bloodgills on blue ~18 months ago on blue showed fewer kills of bloodgills required than it took me to get through 45 at bloodgills on red... using the same method of killing on both servers. So the 100% bonus is present on red right now at level 1, but it doesn't scale all the way up to 50. Whether it was broken or nerfed intentionally I don't know. My gut feeling after leveling on red is that 1-30 was under the effects of an xp bonus, but that xp seemed pretty slow (i.e. the same as blue) after that. Oh! Alecta just posted in the bug thread and didn't see anything wrong with the code. Maybe I did just have a fluke with mobs levels, as unlikely as that is with the number of mobs being killed. /shrug

Edited.
There is a scaling bonus from 1-50, though you will likely stop noticing the effects of it around level 40.

Or a third option, the bonus exists on both red and blue. If that is the case technically nothing they've said is misleading or a lie. However, I think the players on R99 tend to compare exp rates to blue, not to classic. So if they've said there is an exp bonus compared to blue that would seem to be incorrect.
It is also possible there is supposed to be a scaling 1-50 bonus but it was removed accidentally. We only have one person submitting data too and it is possible that even over the course of 130ish kills extremes in the sample were observed. For example, if the level range of those mobs is 35-40 and the data set on blue contained 130 mobs averaging level 38.7 but the data set from red had mobs averaging 36.7, the 2 level difference per kill on average would not make it an apples to apples comparision. Truly, someone should create a level 1 human cleric (0 modifer) and document exactly how many kills on level 1 mobs it takes to get to level 2 on both servers. Then document how many kills on level 1 mobs it takes to get from 2 to 3. If we see no deviation by the end of level 2 it is safe to assume the exp rates are identical. If I wasn't at work I'd do it, probably only 6 hours of time in current exp rate conditions.

You could also fear people off the top of Kelethin.
And yeah there's no experience bonus 1-50.

Well done Tecmos. It's possible the bonus scales to a very low percentage by level 45 (like 5-10% or something) and the mob level range could effect the outcome a lot easier that way. That would seem to match your theory about 1-30 being a noticeable bonus. It appears from your results the bonus starts at 100% and drops approximately 2% per level.

Tecmos will you show us what 1 blue kill looks like on two level 49 Ogre SKs now?
