I work my ass off for my money, 60+ hours a week. When and if I find the time to play I still like to be competitive or a contender. In my eyes that's just the same as working my ass off in-game, except I am putting my time in to the REAL world. So... you want to be "a contender" but don't want to (or can't) put in the time/effort to get there? You think all those hours you spend at work should also count towards your EQ progress at home? You basically want to have your cake and eat it, too. This game was designed to be a TIME SINK. If you don't have the time, you won't get to the same point as someone who does. That's all there is to it. There are lots of people playing on this server who routinely put in 12+ hours per day to advance themselves -- why do you think you deserve the same results when you're unable to put in the same amount of work?

Lol, sorry that I have a life and can't play 12 hours a day or more. After being here for over a year now I still don't have a level 60, because it still takes time to be able to get to the end. Just because I bought plat to gear my self on one account to ease the pain of leveling doesn't mean I get to just skip the time and effort of making it to the end. When I get to play though, it helped out with slightly less down time and a little faster kills. Almost my whole experience here has been solo, with every class I have played. Why? Because I don't have the time to sit in a group for hours.

Having better gear than the avg player at your level does not mean I won't be putting in the same amount of work and time, and if you think it does, than you are a fool.

No need to apologize. I usually can't get more than 4 hours per day in, myself. However, I recognize that this means there are going to be players out there with better gear, more plat, and more high level characters than me. Here's the weird part... I'm totally okay with this. I don't feel the need to exchange my hard earned dollars for virtual pixels just so I can pretend that I have more free time than I actually do. Especially when I know that doing so will eventually result in a ban from the server!

Wat. Yes, it absolutely does mean that. If you've spent real money to get insane twink gear for your level, how can you claim that you've put in the same amount of work? Even if you ended up getting 60 before you got banned, you would've put in WAY less work than you would getting an untwinked character to the same point. If you think an untwinked rogue using cheapo weapons and banded armor will level as fast as a rogue with epic/nightwalker/fungi... I really don't know what to say.

I'm not trying to judge you, man. It's your money, I couldn't really care less how you spend it. I just don't see how you can keep trying to justify RMTing on this server. Some people have 12 hours per day to play, some people don't. If that's not your cup of tea, there are plenty of pay2win games out there. Sorry that p99 couldn't be one of them.

How is the Plat still in the economy if they banned the accounts? 400 accounts must have taken some out of the economy.

Also you fuck heads buying plat make me sick and the fact you keep bringing up pirated software or copyright infringement is laughable. I may have pirated the software now but I had bought how many of their fucking disks back in the day to play?

Open your mind's eye and realize that I am not talking about the 400 banned accounts. I think that's pretty obvious.

Also, what are you talking about that I 'Keep bringing up pirated software'? As much as I browse these forums I don't think I have ever seen someone make any kind of deal out of this. Speaking of this, shouldn't you have to buy the game if you want to play it? You should have to, but that doesn't mean by any means that people do.

The exact same thing can be said for buying in game currency. Shouldn't you have to work in-game for your plat or items? Yes, but that does not mean that everyone is going to or has the time to. So in that case, we, the people who work for real currency IRL, who put in hours of time to get paid and don't have the sheer time to commit like a bunch of the people here, take advantage of a way to help us speed up the process to reaching the end game. By no means do we just 'Win'. It just helps out.

RMT has I dunno.. Only been around since Online RPG's and I don't and have never seen a game ruined by RMT. Certainly isn't being ruined now, and certainly won't in the future.

You white knights make me sick. If you really wanna make a big deal out of something, why not point out how 90% of the population here Pirated the Titanium Client off some Torrent hosting site. Now that is SUPER illegal and can lead to serious legal ramifications in RL, where as saying screw it, I'll spend $20 for 10k gets a stern head shake/finger wag in the virtual world and potential banning, but nothing else.

Titanium client is so ancient I can't believe Sony doesn't just have a free download of it. The only copies being traded were published years ago and are just resold as used. Its not like they are making money off it anymore.
