I played vztz 1.0. It was my first eqemu server in 2007. When I joined, it was ran by Daxum, with item loot.

Freeport vs qeynos.

It was honestly the most fun pvp server I ever played. Was completely custom with 3 teams, FP qeynos or neutral. Only like 9 zoned which bottle necked to one raid zone.

So you played RZ with item loot and have expressed preferring that system.. You played VZTZ 1.0 with item loot...

How is it Red 99 isn't item loot with classic RZ level range? I mean it's obvious Rogean isn't running the show, wouldn't the next logical conclusion be that you are??

No it wasn't single box, sorry [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] But I can tell you trying to run prototype 'big' servers back then with p1/p2s with 192-384mb ram at 40-100% cpu in the hot desert (room was 90-100 degrees) was a mess :P

Ran it? I think Hogie was the first guy to kind of consolidate (eqemu.net) which is prob 2003~ (my memory isn't great there on that though).

Before that consolidation there were loose controls, some people were hosting the website (Tux Racer/DigitalWorkings) for agxemu/freequest, followed by sourceforge for eqemu.

When the login server came into play (we used to be able to login directly to the world servers before) it was hosted by Pyrotek, Hogie and a few others.

Consolidation later: LethalEncounter followed by Doodman and most currently Rogean were after all that.

Also I can confirm rust1d is not warsaint, we had trouble with warsaint even back on guildwars.
