I agree with OP that it's a good idea, but in reality from what I've seen in my 6 or 8 months on the box, it won't make much of a difference.

Better yet, only accounts who have donated $ get to post in the dev. forum.

I don't know, like anyone with a 60 and actual experience over PVP boxes and leading guilds, hell even throw Chewie in even though his response will only be what makes things worse for the noobs he griefs and what's counter to popular opinion.

Only allow people who know what the fuck they're talking about to post, bam we might actually get somewhere.

These forums are filled with nobodies who haven't even hit max level, let alone have lead anything significant or have multiple 60's on Red, yet they talk about memories and opinions of 1999 like it's relevant to a low pop EMU, and possible to get that type of gaming back.

That would be ridiculous. I know less EQ than Lite but that guy is so self-serving that I would not trust him on not trying to push something that would benefit him personally in-game.

What that forum would need is active moderation that removes access to the forum as soon as someone posts "LOL MORAN" type posts like Bamzal and Chewie (and myself sometimes, which i would not partake in, in that type of discussion platform) do often. Maybe only allow accounts that are older than 3 months to prevent people like Cast from trying to disrupt it.

I really dont think its something theyre interested in though

If the majority of people who actually played here spoke about why this place sucks I'm confident they would come up with good ideas, if it was open to the public, it'd be as bad as these forums with mostly idiots who don't play, haven't made it, are going off emotions of 1999.

Maybe a system like DAOC origins has then that links account to forum accounts, and then only allow people with 40+ accounts to participate.

Again i think it would be a nice idea but considering the weirdness of Sirkens posts where hes not even aware of what Derus position is on xp nerf, im starting to suspect that GMs are just mouthpieces for the upper echelons and that devs arent interested in debates about what they implement. So if Rogean says xp nerf is a good thing, thats Sirkens and Derus position, which they will then make public on the forums. Just dont see them puttin in time to do that sort of thing.
