One time I threw my phone into traffic (it got hit by a car before it landed at high speed) while on the phone with a suicide hotline.

I never bothered calling them again. All they do is tell you to seek medical help. The laughable thing is when your in a state of mind to be calling them your usually on the edge already.

(Don't worry that was followed up by a full squad of police showing up to take me to a mental hospital) the funny thing is that the poor scar faced cop that talked to me in my living room had this weird puppy dog compassionate vibe about him. For some reason I didn't want to kill/attack them and suicide by cop. They probably saved my life.

That moment stands out in particular. I remember looking him in the eye and sizing him up. And he didn't threaten me or do what I expected a cop to do, show or threaten force. He asked me calmly if I would please go with them. And gave me a small ounce of respect that I didn't think I was going to be treated with. Had he met my expectations and reached for his gun or told me to put my hands on my head. Or moved into a threatening fighters stance.

Blood would have been shed.
