Were they DuoQ games? Heard rumors that can affect the placements, but I have no idea tbh.

Maybe I don't understand what all goes into the equation for placements. I was playing support, and I was doing duo queue games - does that mean I earn less "points" (or whatever they use for calculations) than if I were a solo lane or solo queue?

Didn't know that negative K/D ratios also go into it. But no, nothing major.

Any ideas on what else goes into their calculations?

Shit sucks. Bronze is hell, full of trolls and just straight bad players. I know I'm not the best Leaguer, but I am at least of Silver quality :c

I was just guessing... would be shitty if its done on K/D ratios as the support usually doesn't come out with more than a few kills.

Nice to duo queue and take the bot lane, was your partner put in the same bracket?

He was put into Bronze II, I got placed in Bronze I.

What were you placed last season? If you were low bronze or unplaced then it makes sense that you were placed in bronze even after winning 7 games. Everything in the league division system is based off of MMR (match maker rating), and not actual your division.

Was placed in Bronze I during like, the last week of Season 3.

I guess that's why.

Oh, and to the few other questions. If you duo with someone the same MMR as you, you gain rating at a slightly lower rate, though it's hardly negligible. Also, KDA does not affect your LP/mmr gain. If that were the case, supports would never climb.

your last season placement, your hidden MMR, and how effective you were in the matches all have a role in where you are placed now. I also was placed bronze but the competition was so god awful i carried myself out in 2-3 days. working towards gold now which shouldnt be much longer.
