Hey, so I've been wanting to try eve online and I've heard that you can bypass the pay to play if you get enough in game currency to sell? I would really enjoy more information on this, and any tips/suggestions anyone has about the game.

played Eve for about a year without paying,

step 1 > join a random small " indy / mining " corp

step 2 > gain abit of trust doing corp mining ops and pretending on teamspeak mining / building shit isn't the most boring shit on earth with a profit of like 0.00001 due to CCP fuck ups in the past like drone alloy things or that book you can refine for minerals

step 3 > take down their POS , empty the corp hangars, dump all your new lewtz into a Freighter you stole from them also, and lol all the way to Jita to sell everything


step 4 > go to Low Sec Faction warfare or null and pvp until you either get bored of the game / run out of stolen isk to pay for account + ships



that was my experience with eve anyway. nothing crazy like the famous heists but it was fun for what it was

edit: scams..etc is why eve is one of the last mmos that can still sustain itself with subs without catering to casuals , and these dudes deserved to be robbed ( they RMT'd minerals to build ships and were actually losing money because math and spreadsheets are hard. and they made me a director in like 1.5 weeks if i didnt destory them someone else a week later would have

People like Tongpow are the scum of New Eden though for sure, it's a harsh reality check but that's EVE for you. People like him exist in abundance in this game and if we didn't have them it would be a lot less of an interesting place to be. With all that said, he's still a bastard and not someone to follow in example. Do shit the legit way, go out in low sec and get your good fights without links, day trip into a wormhole and take it out into nullsec somewhere to do exploration and try to find a way home without getting killed, set up some spreadsheets and start station trading, or getting your industry started. There's so much shit you can do in this game, all of the bastard underhanded stuff included. Make the game about what you want it to be.

apples n oranges bro i assume this is just bait but incase you are in fact actually retarded, eve isnt a pve game where you cry and moan to get pixels or have a server wide agreement to imo exploit a respawn mechanic to create more fucking sky loot in the database than every live classic server combined and then have the gall to tell some dudes they arent good enough to get a sky day slot. its as cut throat of a game as there is its DayZ in space basically where someone can decide that they wanna suicide kill your shiny ship that has a real life money value attached to it, just because.

funny thing is the community here is more toxic than in a game where you can lose hundreds of dollars of pixels to a random person on the internet in a matter of seconds
