Hardest thing for me is there's hardly a Euro population to be had on red. My monk has struggled since the Thanksgiving bonus XP where groups were easy to come by for a while.

Don't let the red forum trolls fool you into thinking it's like "The Wire" on the streets there. If I had a healer partner for my 40 monk I'd be playing more often for sure [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

8) Future of Red99 - I believe this is the main reason why a potential player would hesitate to roll on Red99. Low server population, people asking for server wipe, and the possibility of Teams99 being released after Velious doesn't inspire confidence that effort and achievement here is going to last. I do think that Derubel has somewhat alleviated this concern by implementing the PNP and considering server repops. I am in no way effected if regular server repops happen but it shows that the GMs/devs are doing something in regards to investing their time in the current server. The same goes for implementing a PNP even if some people don't agree with it.

the PnP was the first major victory for me to consider playing there again. what you mentioned here is another major hurdle that should be addressed. I am playing on blue and enjoying myself in the mean time.

Totally not a troll. Wish more people could see that red isn't the toxic grief fest that everyone makes it out to be. Even before PnP went in, it wasn't half as bad as people made it sound. Now that there's something in place specifically to protect the little guy, I'd like to see some more people rolling over there to get the box going.

Also, I've been spending my time on red recently, so there is more of a staff presence there for people that need help.

EQ PvP is a blast. People just need to give it a try. And the community is actually really great most of the time - the forums are an inaccurate representation of what really goes on in the day to day on the server.

Fantastic. But having the same 5~ forum trolls post in every other thread in the Blue Server Chat section "NOT A PROBLEM ON R99" gets pretty annoying.

And EQ PvP is a blast... for half the class. The other half are stupidly underpowered and not worth playing. I'm not sure how the community can be "great" when the whole purpose is for the community to at some point in your gameplay, hunt you down and kill you...

Let us blue players copy a character or two over to red and you will have more players than you can shake a stick at.

Being able to play one of my toons on red while staring at a spawn on blue is very enticing. However, personally I am too invested into blue at this point to restart on red.

I know this has been suggested before by myself and others but it would bring red pop from 80ish to 500+ over night.

While this wouldn't be overly fair to the few players like the OP who are actually starting from scratch on the server, overall it would be a good thing for the server.

You could limit transferred toons to sub 55 or 50 if you wanted and I still think people would sign up in droves.

I play both. I got 60 faster on blue than on red because of the insane amounts of PLs. I like playing on both servers and I recommend playing both. 2 Monitors makes it easy to farm on blue waiting for spawns while PvPing on red.

Then you spend all that time getting a nice item and someone kills you and takes it. Meh. I would consider rolling if that and pvp xp loss wasn't a thing. If it's not, thanks for clearing the misconception
