its not needed...with the current economy and state of multiquesting, you can buy one for about 45k or less so many low lvl rogues do have them. cleric epic is same deal, but a bit more expensive. most epics still not for sale, but pieces of them frequently are.

bottom line is that nobody expects a new player to have expensive gear. well, idiots do. and you just bumped into an idiot.

I have pretty thick skin in general but being that I JUST started the game, am I wasting my time trying to level a rogue up? I know they can't solo, but if I'm going to get inspected and then denied a group because I don't have an epic weapon then I guess it really narrows down the class selection...

He hacked to port up to PoHate by himself. Then he Intimidation kited Renux and General.

General dropped Quill of course, so no need to actually ask for help on Phinigel.

I grouped with a couple twinked out guys in Oasis on my epic Rogue alt around level 12, and they straight up told me that they only invited me because I had epic, and they don't group with non-epic Rogues. I thought this was shitty, but then I found out why.

They were really bad. I almost died several times, while the Cleric was full health. And that Cleric had a Manastone.

So really, when someone says you need a Rogue epic to group with them, what they're really saying is that you need to pay 45k to powerlevel them. Worst people.
