Hats off to Rangers, Paladins and SK's. I've got a lot of respect for someone who's 50+ on those characters in this era.

It's kind of a tradeoff, though. On the one hand it's hard to level due to the over-bearing penalty.

On the other hand, getting EC geared for them couldn't be any easier, and if you join even a casual raiding guild you'll probably spend less dkp than anyone else for similar levels of power.

Completely true. I wouldn't say it's a very good trade off though if you're pixel hungry.

Iksar monks have a higher penalty than rangers/bards/paladins.
(1.2 * 1.2 = 1.44, it's multiplicative not additive. This is why troll/iksar sk is so brutal, its a 68% penalty)

Kind of torn between playing my SK or Ranger. I thought maybe hearing about some of the upcoming changes in Velious might help make up my mind. I know for Rangers they gear higher skill caps and get a fear animal spell. However I dont know anything about SKs in Kunark.

My ikky sk is 10. Can't wait for fd and double attack. Does dmg go up at 20 too? It jumped when I hit 10
