The dots are normal-sized spaceships (well I guess a lot of them are drone-type things launched by players, also). The ones you can actually see are bigass capital ships.

So those screenshots are showing Brackets, which are those colored squares. They indicate a ship, and are colored based on how your alliance / you have opposing alliances set. Because space is dark and whatever, it'd be impossible to navigate or see where targets are without brackets. Normally you'd see things like this.. (note this is a completely unrelated fight)

In this screenshot, the Grey brackets are hostile to us, and our fleet (the purple brackets) are bombing them. (bye bye talwar fleet)

The screenshots are accurate, and so are you, in saying it just looks like a clusterfuck. This is a fight where over 2,000 people are in a single system (a zone) all fighting at the same location. The second screenshot I posted in my first page post is intended to just be confusing as fuck. Someone took a screenshot of a cluster of drones, of which each capital ship has 10, and a regular ship has 5, so there are an endless amount of them, basically.

it's k, once n3 is gone you'll prolly be able to get recruited by one of our pubbie allies

i assume you're n3 atleast, since gxk would be your staging and pretty close to OUR NEW SYSTEM

edit: guess razor claimed the system. expect razor titan killmails. they always lose shit stupidly.

"Still digesting numbers from the B-R5RB Bloodbath. Here's one database query you might like to have sooner: 59-16 #eveonline #tweetfleet"

that's 56 titans killed by CFC, 16 lost.

Sounds cool, but yeah, don't understand the screenshots really. Is that all you see when you play?

in a large scale 2000+ person fight, yeah. Unless you zoom in to your ship.

typically gang fights can be anywhere from 2-50 people, fleet battles around 250 on each side. capital fights will have a subcap fleet of 250 atleast per side, and then a fleet of 250 capitals per side or more.

it very quickly adds up and gets to be too much.

again these are bad screenshots to give an impression of the game. this is the biggest fight in eve's 10 year long history, so it's really understandably confusing to see pictures of if you aren't familiar with what it is.

On the right is your 'Overview' it shows anything you want it to. Gates, ships, stations, NPCs. You basically play the game by clicking things in the overview 90% of the time.

Bottom middle are the modules your ship currently has fitted. Screenshot above is a cloaky cyno ship, so nothing really special to see.

the ones with dots is him zoomed all the way out. the actual ships are fuckin huge if you zoom in.

the tiny ships are frigates (starting ships) and the biggest ones are titans (takes years to get into)

so ya when you fly next to to a titan u look like an ant.
