If you DC, a quad is gonna catch up and kill you. If the whole server came down though, your character, the mobs chasing you, the zone you were in, all of it is crashed at the same time, so you will log back in and still be alive. Server crashes/restarts are only ugly for a group that is in a camp when it comes down cause then when the people log back in 1 at a time they are in a room full of mobs, or for a chanter in a hostile city with illusion cause when they log back in the illusion will be down, etc.

When we came back, I saw someone /shouting "what..." and was like "uh-oh".
A minute later, I got my first warning: A 1-minute countdown.
