DAOC Origins - 40 hours till server launch

I tried to download it but it doesn't connect to the download link thing. I turned off my firewall. Anyone else having this problem?

DAOC is definitely skerry because I never played. Its like trying to play EQ but with half the fan base and the main game is PVP so people don't mind letting you suck big time, while a lot of EQ was blue so super helpful (in old days, now they are total retards)

Not exactly anxious to get in and start sucking.

Someone post some correct ways to "spec" your character or build him or whatever for if any P99 noobs come over.

Yeah not gonna lie game is a bit impenetrable, only get a respec at 40 i think. Still looks like a game with depth though. Im going as mercenary and theres a bunch of abilities i can only do if a player has done something. So if he parries, i can do that counter, etc etc...

If you ask nicely some experienced player there is probably gonna give you some tips on a good class template, class choice etc...

Im gonna play with the rerolled crew and theyre gonna be easy on noobs, accept every class in groups etc... most are going albion

The uthgard forums is also a good source of info because its close in patch status, although i wouldnt take anything as cash because there is some differences, good for general class outlines etc

The games fun, I played it at launch for a while and just about 2 years ago for a brief stint. There's a lot of strategy in pvp but the whole game has been min maxed to hell. Do enough google searching and you'll find the best spec/gear/abilities

Played when DAOC came out until ToA was released. Forgot everything about it. Played Uthguard for a few hours. Promptly deleted. How is this server any different?

1.62 patch + SI which i dont think uthgard has
