Watched about 5 mins of Rust game play on Youtube the other day. Felt like gouging own eyes out afterwards.

Fucking horrible.

You watched a naked dude run around with a rock for 5 minutes? While pretty hilarious, it hardly captures the more strategic elements of the game. It is pretty comical though - Xerxes and I let some naked dude squat outside our mansion earlier because he had no idea what he was doing and it was hilarious to watch him try to talk to people who would just shoot him when he got too close. We even built him a shack and offered him 1 / 1 /1 rotations on the stone nodes. That being said, it is also pretty unforgiving if you fuck up or dont plan properly.

No. It was some guy who had built a shack near some coast and there were like 20 identical shacks near his. And then he was like: Now, i'm going to make a gun by burning wood and some other shit and creating sulfur. And at the same time, i am going to place raw chicken breast in the fire, except i'm going to use the fire as storage, because that makes sense. Then he ran out, saw some person in the distance and started to run away... lololol... then he started to gather iron by using a hatchet. Then he got shot and respawned in his shack.

Anyways, after finding that video less than intriguing, i found another, where 2-3 guys were running after some naked dude and shooting at him. Eventually he was killed. RIP in peace.

That was about 5 minutes worth of Rust. 5 minutes too many.

Game looks absolutely retarded. Strategy? Really? lol.

If you build shit properly, it is hard to destroy....anyway, explosive charges take more time to farm / research than building a massive base, and at the moment they are the only way to break into bases with metal doors.

In 10 years the wayback machine will catch your rust rotation comment, and some guy on the "rust 2014" emulator will force rotations on all nodes. Sloan ruins video game competition.
