What compels you to help/not help people?

I help others because i enjoy it and i hope it makes their experience more enjoyable.

Some folks are shit bags and suck at life.
They cant step up and take control.
They play shit bags in game cause it makes them feel good.

As a child, me and the warren of feral deer that I lived with foraged for food daily. No one helped us; we didn't ask for any help.

One year, a hunter shot and killed the mother of one of the young fauns. No one cared; the hunter was pretty proud of himself in fact. All of us in the warren were shocked, traumatized for the rest of our days.

I still remember.

I'll help people from time to time, but it's a hard and cold world out there. It's hard to get over what I've seen.

I enjoy collecting random 'trash' gear while farming/xp'ing and giving it away (guess I should say I did, I'm currently broke as a joke and leveling a new character/farming passable equipment). Find some random noob war in gfay and giving them an axe of the iron back + treeweave is fun.

How much have you yourselves been helped when leveling up your first toon? Chances are you had some help from someone somewhere along the line. The further you go dressed in your starter gear? The more likely someone is to help you out.
