Shovel of ponz (or any reclaim energy click) is also great for buffing while remaining idle in town. Most of your pets (if they're appropriate level) will return 20-30% mana if clicked from max health. What I typically do before logging for the night is form babby pet, sell or bank (medding in the process which will usually get me to 100), buff hp/sta/regen, reclaim then log. Let's me get my grind on right from the get-go.

Its also a huge mana reserve when grouping, if there's some initial downtime to med/canni back the mana cost.

Just so we're all on the same page, broom > shovel > torch > stein. Broom of Trilon is the focus item master race as it's both powerful and practical.

What level can this quest be completed? I have all the items except for the gargoyle eyes but I can get those easily enough.

the gargoyles outside of the castle in mistmoore almost never drop the eyes... the two just inside the castle entrance drop them a lot more often. (still an uncommon drop tho)

I've MQd every single Mage focus items to a level 1 mage of mine. The quest turnins work at level 1.
Nice little boost of XP and a powerful pet at level 4.
