You can get all the rot loots you need in nihilum in under a month, and then you're basically on the six month wait list for the four items everyone wants. My point is that if people were more motivated, including nihilum vets who have no incentive to continue raiding, you could form a smaller guild and ultimately get more overall pixels.

The problem is not that red players can't PvE. Their too busy fucking eachother over to stay on top of YT/KDR and "I'm alpha" to follow a leader.
There's a ton of players out there who would be more than happy to join a guild and level and kill pixels so Nihilum isn't the only one. But than you have assholes griefing all those players off the box or encouraging them to join nihilum through, solo play, and outright ganking even though there's no challenge in it.

How many times has nihilum left PD up or nexona up or druushk up because of scheduling or what not? If you had a reliable dedicated crew of 24, you could kill those dragons and gear up far faster, and this will be especially true in velious where gear will be incredibly dispersed across a 200 person roster. There's a reason in MMO's guilds close recruitment, because having gear dispersed across too many people who can't use said gear to help advance the guild is ultimately detrimental. This hasn't been a huge issue in Kunark because the content is so easy, but will become an issue in velious.

never said i thought teams server was a good idea
best thing for red99 is to permaban a select few people that ruin box integrity, make a more coherent list of rules/expectations, stick to it, and then wipe the box and try ffa over again

Teams is not a ruleset I like at all, but from having read the forums there's tons of bluebies who love teams as a ruleset, and it takes bluebies to make guilds that work that can ultimately compete and create a thriving environment. Despite what elderan says, the issue isn't that nihilum gets most of the mobs which is classic. It's that nihilum gets 99.9% of them which demoralizes everyone else. On blue, TMO gets most but you still know you have a shot in the other guilds + a vibrant economy. If it was even 80/20 here or 90/10, I think you would see a far higher pop and healthier server. Teams will likely provide such an environment.

The newbies who aren't in nihilum yet suck at pve, the pvp leaders not in nihilum suck at dealing with those noobs, and or arent that good at pve themselves and are too much prima donnas to listen to someone bad at pvp, who can lead the pve shit.
