DrKvothe, wow, way to not contribute even slightly to this thread.

First and foremost, EC is not that much competition and this is an MMO people generally like seeing other people (especially if they want to group).

If the person is just starting out, making their way to FP and then EC then WC then Oasis is not a bad route. There are always buffs to be had at EC tunnel (you make it sound hard to get these but all you have to do is ask). Qeynos does not have nearly the player support to Buff that EC does.

The major plus of EC WC Oasis is that it is sufficient leveling speed coupled with the kindness of others making it the absolute BEST place to start out.

Yes if you played before places like Steamfont and Misty can be better for leveling heck Field of Bone to me is the best leveling 1-10 in the game. BUT that doesnt account for the ability to market your wares get buffs and get the generosity of others.

While you may farm a few more plat elsewhere, where else are you going to have the random (as the poster above said , ivy etched armor gifted to you)

If you just want to bash a dudes advice that he is giving go make your own advice thread.

*drops the mic*

Belts and shoulderpads in CB are what people are pointing me to here. So I'm holding on to those while I hunt in CB.

^ Like a boss.

Lets try can keep the tone helpful in this thread. Unless I or somebody else says something that is just blatantly wrong, do everybody a favor and keep it to yourself. Do feel free to add helpful tidbits though or expand on other points that have already been made, such as the GLS turn-in part.

Jingleson, I hang onto those while exping in CB (although Im a necro and cant turn em in) and every so often a big boss lvl 60 type comes in and pays hansomly so they can speed level an alt. I think I made like 5pp per belt last night, when going rate is like 2pp a belt.

In any case - I have learned DO NOT AUCTION THEM, wait until someone comes asking to buy them you will make more

Some other helpful things you can do for cash at low levels:

- Dervish Cutthroats drop bronze and are great around the FP area.
- Nybright sisters and Bandits (to a lesser extent) in lfay for bronze as well.
- Minotaurs in Steamfont have sweet gem drops (opal, peridot etc...).
- Wisps in WC (though there are more in NK and even more on the island in Eruds Crossing).

Or, just create a female woodelf and cyber with lonely high levels for sweet dough. Don't forget to deck her out in leather and use smileys [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] for full immersion.

It's not.

I just did my test of patience on the island and the only people I saw were:

- Shamans also doing their test of patience.
- People passing through on the boat.
- Paladins questing for Ro armor.

No one camping wisps or other Kerra critters.

Regarding wisps:
I killed wisps on Erud's Crossing on my shaman when it was level appropriate. The island has an awesome rate of wisps for 1 player, good rate of wisps for equal split amongst 2 players, but if you get there to find a fungi'd out melee with 0.5+ ratio weapons, you just wasted a trip.

NK on the other hand is perfect. You can get a bind right in the middle of the gypsy camp, and there are tons of wisps that wander right next to the camp. The greater lightstone turnin is right there. It's like 3% per GLS even when wisps are only LB/green. If you get a dry spell of wisps, theres tons of grizzlies.

Although the occasional kos roamer might wipe you in NK if you're not careful, the mad hermit guy that spawns on the coast in erud's crossing every hour was a much bigger threat.

Was I just really really high in '99-00 or did that bind spot not exist back when?

I forgot to add as well - bandits in WK should now be a fairly desireable NPC since their loot table now has bronze AND they drop those sweet sashes that can be turned in for even more bronze.
