Nilbog: Enchanting for cultural armor requires classic reagents: Enchant Mithril - Blue Diamond, Enchant Adamantite - Blue Diamond, Enchant Steel - Jacinth, Enchant Brellium - Jacinth
I please strongly as that this change get reversed. There are some classes (mainly cleric) where cultural armour is the only viable armour pre-planar. The quested line of armour for clerics offer very little wisdom. This change as made it so that the cultural armour is now accessible by those who spend a large amount of time in areas where blue diamonds/jacinths drop (in my case blue diamonds), or who have a very large bankroll. This change will make gearing up classes as as clerics pre-planar significantly more difficult, which only serves to encourage RMT. I had high hopes of retiring my rogue to play a dark elf cleric. A rogue in his mid 40s that could normally farm up reasonable amounts of cash to farm up the required needed for the 1.5k to 3k a piece before this change, not the 20k+ needed for some peices now.

You really don't need a boatload of WIS on a cleric before you enter planes, and there are plenty of decent WIS/mana items you can find in EC relatively cheap. Additionally, somehow people playing on live managed to level clerics without having a ton of leet cultural gear; perhaps you, too, can.

There's a ton of Enchanted DE Sets running around that not making new ones won't matter too much. Yes the price will go up a bit, but it's not going to be anywhere near the cost of creation. And if it gets close, go farm withered leather in the hole, it's as good or better in some cases. Or make a dwarf, their set requires cheaper gems.

Not a problem, really. Make a Human Cleric of Karana, Erollisi Marr, or Rodcet Nife. Imbued Field Plate does not use enchanted mats and those three use cheap gems (Plains Pebble, Star Rose Quartz, Opal) for the imbue and all three have WIS as the primary stat bonus. Cleric is an easy class to get decent player-crafted armor for if you actually look at your options.

Human cleric of Inny actually isn't a bad choice either. The cultural armor has more int than wis, but it does have some on most pieces. Plus you get access to both the DE snare necklace (when they patch :P) and the ERU fear mask (and to a lesser extent the ERU helm and shield).
