I never killed anyone or looted them in classic on my wizard with that system. OH LAWD IT WAS TERRIBLE AND UNFAIR.

I do pretty well for myself in pvp, for the most part. Think I've gotten pvp text once though, because 90% of my pvp victories end in the bad guy plugging. Druids are powerful without needing snare/root (which are already mostly useless).

Honestly though I'd rather see snare/root land maybe 50% of the time, but with hugely decreased duration. Why make spells completely useless?

My alt has 152 mr... I was rooted 2 out of 5 last night. That is at lvl 29, by a lvl 8 spell. Only lasted maybe 10 secs tops, but it had me going wtf...

I found that root and snare worked a ton at the lower levels (even twinks), but on 55+ it's nearly impossible to land.

I can confirm that last night Syft tried to snare a naked 55 druid (on a CR from another PvP encounter - grats Tune and Ezpk) and snare was resisted.

Everyone LnSed on VZ, but point taken I suppose. I still don't see why root lasting 1-2 seconds on players wouldn't be an option for the spells.

Why go with a strictly classic system when we could make non-classic improvements to it?

While trying to teach my wife how to PvP on her druid, she landed ensnare (13 min snare) on my monk a couple of times, and each time the duration was only a few seconds. So I think decreased duration is already in game, at least for some snares.

Oh it for sure is, but I was meaning decrease it even more and let it land more often. Like if a druid dedicated themselves to spamming nothing but snare they could keep a person snared, but if they do anything else it will break.

Root landing is almost a guaranteed instant dirt nap in group/raid pvp.

Or death if you are kiting a few mobs.
