How often do ticks occur?

Why is it so hard for the server an your client to by synced up? 6 seconds on server shouldn't be any slower/faster on my computer. I have never understood why it isn't pretty much always synced up.

I've noticed when I'm mass bard aoe dotting some low level dungeons (like Runnyeye, dat blackened iron), oftentimes the first tick of the DoT damage happens instantly and kills off a lot of the lowbie mobs. Other times it takes a while to start doing damage. So yes, it looks like every 6 seconds server-side, which can be out of sync with your client.

I one time asked this question to my dad, how long is a tick in response to him telling me to wait a few ticks look left then right, and go as he was teaching me how to drive a car.

a tick is just another word for second, however long it takes u to pronounce tick is how long a tick is. just like the word "second" equals 1 second.

should really attempt to find alternative methods of pain control.

for real though, thats a bad road to go down.

worst case scenario is probably your doctor cutting you off one day (happens more than you might think) and you suddenly going through extremely painful and crippling withdrawals if you dont find new opiates to keep you going.

most people turn to heroin at this point, and dont look back.

Seen this happen too many times.
