OP is severely confused. Original TMO on Fennin in 99? Sure, they had some humility. Mostly due to not being able to hang with the big dawgs.
Beyond that? Heh. Maybe you should read through some of the old TMO news posts from back then. You may reconsider just how much they gave a shit about anything but getting pixels. TMO vs. DoA was srs business! | ||

I am not confused i know how TMO was compared to how they are but then there where thousands on a server and guilds that could contend TMO came out threw time but i saw them do alot of good for others and somtimes even to there benifit. I think my biggest thing about TMO is the monopoly that they are holding over our heads on prices for pixels
screwing the server if this where live i would understand cause somone would get enough guilds together to defeat this super power good ole EQ nazi's ruined a real good rep they once had yeah some bad apples yeah some real serious shit went down but all and all TMO used to be the big brother for a while atleast. | ||

Funny that some of the same people that were unhappy in that thread you posted from 13yrs ago were tagged TMO later on. Hyarth is a perfect example he was wearing a TMO tag the last time I saw him.
As far as the front page from last year about VP if you never looked at the news pages for about 80% of the raiding guilds then you might think this was unusual behavior and think it inappropriate but until you have seen. Silvan Rangers, DoA, or Severed forum news updates you havent seen amusingly inappropriate headlines. I remember TMO from 2000 when I started playing until like 2004(or was it 2005) when TMO finally gasped its final breath and fell apart. Sure some of the drama is unnecessary and some of it is wrong on many levels but thats the way it goes when you have so many different people fighting for a pixel and in some cases attention. I miss TMO from Live was an amazing bunch of people whether you loved them or hated them. | ||

You wonder why this is bad? .... So somehow... a custom rule set can change the role you play in the community and how you react to it? Heh. Would they still be spawn stealing, poop socking, blankity blank assholes if there was an enforced spawn rotation that was worked out between them, other guilds and the staff? Think about it. Don't hate the player, hate the game. The exact stuff they are pulling now is being attempted on their targets and they had to learn to play this way to win spawns from the previous #1 guild (who was apparently bored/done gearing and on its way out with no further interest to carry on in this current system). | ||
