The war was over states' right to secede and not slavery. Slavery was on the outs anyways Lincoln used that as a platform to push his Henry Clay agenda.

I've read "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas Di Lorenzo. If anyone hasn't you should it's a great book. Lots of great quotes about shipping Africans back to Africa and South America and all of his fucked up British sympathizer politics.

We wouldn't have been in WW2 if not for FDR provoking Japan to attack us. There's some more history you actually have to do research on to get to the truth rather than relying on your school taught version of history.
