As an enchanter I should also get a bonus to resist based on my charisma. Whether the spell sticks is also highly dependent on the level discrepancy. So, no, it's not the same.
At level 39 I can land a level 4 mez on a hill giant just fine. But at level 4.. it will never stick. | ||

The link no longer leads to the full article, but the important part is quoted there. You're expected to have higher charisma than a necro, so their charisma plays less of a factor in a necro landing screaming terror than yours does in landing your mez.

I'm not talking about charisma. Charisma plays a part in resists but level discrepancy is more important.
Even with 255 cha I don't believe I could land a mez on a mob 8 levels above me even if I tried. | ||
