I am a United States citizen. I'm not saying the people in the marathon deserved any of what happened. They are not the ones at fault. Violence begets violence.
Just because your a US citizen doesn't mean your not an idiot. Violence does not beget violence. They kill us because we do not believe what they believe.

IMO our (USA) leaders have become so weak that is causing the increase in violence towards us too.

Took two A bombs for Japan to stop the violence. We should drop a few more.

I like how it only took about 5 posts into the thread for some fat-head to call for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on another country, thus proving everything OP said about Americans to be 100% right.

This is going to end up being the work of some middle-aged, white, male libertarian and let's be honest: we don't bomb white people.

In times of doubt, consult George Carlin and accept that he was right about everything.

You really believe this shit? Hurr durr terrorists hate our freedom? They kill us for political reasons, primarily our support for Israel-- a state dedicated to the manhandling of Muslims.

Where should we nuke? Can you find al-Qaeda on a map?

Anyway, Europe and the west have been fighting against Muslim countries pretty much non-stop for over 1,000 years. And we used to lose.... a lot. But not anymore. Now we've won to such an extent that there aren't any Muslim countries left with enough wherewithal to wage a conventional war of any real consequence. So those radical elements who still want to fight the Jihad do it in the only way they can, by killing innocent civilians. What do we do about that? Who the fuck knows!

im saying the OP's link and story being compared to what happened in boston yesterday is beyond retarded.
Alright, I will accept your point. Although it smells to me like a typical United States PR story, the article does not compare. However, my main point still stands. The United States for a very long time has been committing acts of terrorism. The longer we stay silent to our international crimes, the longer we will feel the repercussions at home.

Since that link does not suffice, here are some others:

Terrorism: The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

Debatable.

I think you're using "terrorism" correctly but I think you've got a real flaw in your thinking:

Why do you assume the perpetrator is a foreign terrorist group or state?

Yesterday's bombings seem much more likely to have been carried out by one of us.

Yeah, the US is the only one that kills innocents. Stupid argument, every country does crazy shit under the radar.
