Yea because I was talking about the encounters themselves being easy when I wrote that, not about the fact that there is zero competition for everything. You guys will blow through all content in the next couple expansions within a few months of their release, and once you're passed PoP in 6 months the game is no longer eq that we love. What will you do then?

It was 5 or 6 warriors, transitioning with 20% defensive left to account for taunt fails (yes, taunt actually works) and I didn't even account for the couple oh shit weaponshield moments. The whole thing was touch and go.

There's still plenty of open world competition if we want extra shots at targets, but we don't, so we stick our weekly instanced schedule. EQ was never about this degenerate environment that p99 created, it was about beating the content itself. Actual EQ back in the day had expansions twice a year sometimes so there was a natural progression where guilds could still defeat content once the big guilds moved to the next expansion. That's impossible these days without artificially releasing content and Instancing. Phinny fixes that.

I'll enjoy beating content with my friends and y'all can keep doing Ragefire pearls and sky clears because the rest of the server is off limits.

You're clearly not understanding what I'm saying, or purposely avoiding it. I'm sure it's fun to kill everything at your own pace, I'm not denying that. All I'm saying is just enjoy it while you can, because that server is moving incredibly fast through the window of content that everyone on these forums loves most about eq. Pretty soon in the near future you will be left with 3 decisions...quit eq for good, come back to p99, or continue playing on phiny in all of the shit expansions that nobody here enjoys.

Funny thing is, they could spend a year on phinny having a great time, and all come back to p99 after it passes PoP, and they woudn't be any worse off than they were just staying here.

P99 at the end of the road. Shit, take 5 years off and come back if it's still here...you'll be just as good as when you left, won't be behind on levels, and little to nothing will have changed.

That's exactly right, phiny is basically a short vacation in eq paradise. You get to explore everything the game has to offer with nobody bothering you. Let's be realistic though, in under 3 months they went from level 1 to killing all high end content of the current expansion. They will be keyed and killing in VT within a month of luclin, and downing quarm within 6 months, it's at that time we will be welcoming BDA back to p99 where they can retire and hang up their jerseys.
