I have an AI idea.
You take a basic AI. You give it some kind of "gaming" system want/needs priority. The want/need is to make money. You give it access to like youtube and other creator accounts. It just does random shit trying to figure out how to make money the way an LLM tries to figure out how to talk like a human. That's gotta make some $ while you sleep, right? Like even if it makes shitty tumbler posts and tweets and stuff, and gets like 10cents in ad rev, that'd be a victory! Just let that, and 10,000 other babies like that lose on the internet. That's gotta be a win win right? Makes you money, or destroys the internet?

that's 100% a thing, think there is numerous start ups that already have millions in VC funding to do it
most of the kids seem to be focusing on web3 and how to steal/scam buttcoins from people currently though edit: and porn, lots and lots of AI porn and chatbots.

I wonder how long until we see commercials with AI in them. Or entire commercials for that matter. Its doable now, but I just don't see them yet Is what i mean, when are we gonna start glancing at the TV and going, "ha, ai!"

This could mean the end of generative AI (In the west).
Disney Vs Midjourney Round 1: FIGHT! Personally I think what we're seeing here is tantamount to suing Adobe for users creating images with copywritten characters. Disney should sue an individual from making money with a copywritten character not the tool they used to make it. If MJ pays a license to Disney, then they have to for everyone and they shut down. If they cant use Disney, then they cant use anyone, shut down. I see no way forward for generative AI if Disney wins this. I'm split on it, because I don't think generative AI is essential for AI to develop, and I may prefer that instead of these programmers working on generative AI they work on a better calendar or Email system or something for me to use. But on the other hand, I think the law that exists today covers this, and MJ is free from blame for what its users create. And we should see just how far this rabbit hole goes. Disney should be suing anyone who publishes a image of one of thier characters, and that's my take. It'd be like DBG shutting down EQEMU and all emu's because THJ blew up and made money. Targeting THJ is the right call there, while targeting Midjourney is the wrong call with this disney thing. I wonder what the courts will decide! I feel like we're at a crossroads for generative AI! (In the west - China and Russia will take over the entertainment industry) It scares me a little bit, to like, stop technological progress out of fear of anything, especially Disney's franchises. Makes me feel like earth has reached "europe" phase, where we just sit around dumping shit out of windows for like 500 years.

I really hate how the current law already protects Disney, but they just don't want people "doing the thing". It's a scary precedent because that means there's a lot we "could do" that we wont be allowed to do as 2nd class (standard) citizens. Also it's dangerous IMO for misinformation, to make humans think that AI art doesn't exist by shutting down the tools to use it. So bad actors can use it, and people will be more inclined to think it's real. I see this as 2 paths we can take. One, is the path theocracies and other dictatorships take. The other is the one that led to America, and freedom.
