I can see how you would think I'm covering for the Tribe, given that I'm a nationalist and think government should take care of its people. The Tribal ethnostate is also heavily into taking care of their own. This convergence ends where I recognize that the mechanisms upon which that ethnostate thrives in all its host countries are ultimately damaging to the host, especially when the host begins to adopt them for itself.

You have a fair point, but there was a lot more justification to make definitive calls about Clinton than about Trump, which was why the election was such a shock and upset to so many people, even analysts and talking heads who claimed to know what they were talking about. Leading up to it, of course I'm going to milk my confidence in a Clinton win and use unambiguous language to trigger and demoralize Trump supporters, in the same way a presidential candidate will say "when I am elected".

It was basically me and Jarnauga and about twenty Trump supporters on the forum at the time and I knew things were going to be insufferable for a while.

I don't think you can make the case for my being myopic because I failed to predict a Trump win when that was par for the course in politics at the time.

And by now you might be beginning to understand why I often duck out of discussions here because when you actually remember things you see that they often repeat themselves almost verbatim. I'm not a fan of having the same discussion twice. It was hard just to talk to Melon about welfare and poverty because we've had that exact same discussion before too.

I'm going to wait a while to start gloating. Democrats getting everyone on board to pass AHA was a mess too, and they only did it by providing kickbacks to insurance companies. Here's to hoping this drags on for months or years so it sinks in for everyone that Republicans can't govern.
