Second, we would like to see a firmer stance on the spectators PVP'ing. While some people follow the set rules you've put in, some other malicious people take advantage of their non-combativeness. This leads to a chain of event where people retaliate and all hell breaks loose. DT's are thrown left and right, without much regard to who was right or wrong. This and the exp loss makes for a frustrating event. While I'm sure you've seen the problem first hand, maybe hire a spectator referee with a death touch ability to keep people in check.
With great reluctance I will accept the role of Audience Referee with the ability to death touch. I will not let the Nihilum members get off as easy as they did last night for PKing audience members and event participants from their perch in the stands.

I understand that with great power comes great responsibility and will use these death touch powers justly.

if there was a tree in the middle of the field, and none of u noticed, shame on you.

nobody was "up" in a tree. Andis was on the ground, positioning himself between the tree and the other combatants. had they moved a lil closer to the akanon side, they would have seen him when he turned around.

some people did try to hide in trees, i pulled them out when they tried. was only 2-3 people and they did not win anything.

ruling = no foul.

While we appreciate the time and energy spent making these events, we would like a few issues addressed before I can commit my guild for the next one.

First and foremost, is the exp loss and how GM rezzes arent giving any of that exp back. The more fights there is in a night, the more glaring this issue becomes. While I understand the exp loss is there to stop bind rushes and what not for the sake of the pvp, I think fixing the GM rez so that it would give exp back would make it more enjoyable for everyone in that event. We had people lose up to a yellow bubble in 59 last night, thats a good 5 hours of grinding.
GMs can't rezz XP back. you play on a server where pvp deaths cost xp and can't be rezzed back. nothing i can do on that. xp is so retardedly easy on red, i honestly can't believe this is even an issue for you. i'm sorry that my event will force you to spend 5 hours grouped with your friends and guildies in practically any dungeon of your choice grinding some mobs for xp.

People need to use their big boy words. spamming the name of a player doing bad things does not tell me whats happening. all it does is tell me you are spamming my screen and that you need to die. i can easily #freeze the spectators, which would literally force them to do nothing but sit their asses down and watch. the audience pissed me off last night as well, but i only have 1 set of eyes, and i had to watch the event over the crowd. i tried to hire a ref for some 1v1s last time, and your guild cried GM favoritism because i didnt pick a person from your guild. if there was other staff on, they would have been there, but there was no one around at the time. and as i've said in other past threads, its not exactly easy getting qualified people that want to be a staff member on Red99.

Thirdly, I would like to see you fully dispel participants in any 1v1, 2v2, 6v6, give everybody full mana and give them a ~2-5 minute buffing period. Disallow outside of group buffing and this would lead to more accurate and funnier fights. This would make buffing classes more attracting and less QQ would be had overrall.
i asked everyone about mana multiple times for each event. if you somehow missed that, its on you. some of your guildies heard me offer and received full mana. closed mouth does not get fed. we can do a buff period, thats no prob. i was skipping it because these events can go on all night, and i only had a 4 hour window, every minute counts. but buff period is no prob. i agree 100% with no outside buffs. but its hard to control 60-70 people that are all not listening and doing as they please. but you are still 100% right on that, and i will try to get extra help to assist with enforcement. a simple #freeze on the non fighters will take care of this as well.

We're quite happy you're doing these events, even though I partially boycotted this last one, we hope theres more and that those issues above will be fixed.
just an FYI, if you boycott the events, you are hurting the players, and the server, you are not in anyway hurting me, or the staff. there are people in your guild (and the other guilds) that enjoy the hell out of these events. and filming/streaming these events bring more people to the server. but by all means, if you would rather not have new players trickling in, or would rather not have old players returning, or would rather not allow your people a break from the daily grind, or would rather the GMs don't try to do nice things for you, then by all means boycott the event.

But one thing i will not do is let you try to take an event hostage and then demand a ransom or else you'll kill it. sadly for you sir, we don't negotiate with terrorists. and your attempts at using the fear of the event failing due to your boycott in order to get some stuff that you want is, in my mind, a form of terrorism.

that said, thank you for coming, and i hope you and your guildies had lotsa fun! will see you guys next time!

An easy fix to the spectator issue is doing this in the arena and locking the arena door on the outside only allowing participants and the guy filming it inside.

The exp loss issue is a big issue and really needs to be addressed please, if you could bring it up with Nilbog or Rogean. All it does is make people not want to PVP, particularly on melees. It's hard enough to get people to want to grind @ this point of Kunark, healers never on, etc. No one wants to sit and grind mobs for five hours to make up for two pvp deaths, I don't get the logic in it. Bind rushing doesn't work for melees because they have no gear and casters pop with zero mana. EXP loss dum and not classic.

Not a fan of the FFA, but /shrug no biggie, would still like to see a melee only event though and a caster only event.

I liked the smaller playing field this time so A+ for that, made the event A LOT better than last time.

As far as the 6v6 goes, the teams were pretty unfair, no bard for Azrael, etc., I like these 6 v 6 fights and would be interested in seeing maybe a 6 v 6 tournament, like four 6 v 6 teams instead of the original two teams, and have the two winning teams face off. I think the 6v6 tournament could be a fuck load of fun. I think they are a much bigger show of skill than the 20 v 20 zerg fest.

I guess the issue is, with classic, the blue bubble that was lost @ 50 for PVP death was a minor inconvenience, you noticed it but it wasn't a big deal that you had to dwell on and worry about grinding to make it up, it was something that was recouped without even thinking about it. However, post 51+ EXP is much more difficult, and in 60 since it's a post hell level you take double EXP loss, which means you're losing around almost two blues for a death, which take much longer to grind back than it did in 50. So what was once a pretty acceptable penalty for dying in classic is now a huge pain in the ass, and accounts for more gate pots and pussyness!

I hear you on the ToT, I still think tho the 6v6 is the most fun of the events we've been doing but I dunno how others feel on that, and I'd like to see more of them and maybe move away from the Azrael vs. Nihilum where it's just not a level playing field and make four captains that choose their teams and get to do it out, maybe replace the opening team v team with that? Anyone else's opinion on this?
