I actually prefer competition to rotations. The problem is that with the current unclassic situation of variance and very few server reboots, competition takes the form of sitting at your computer for hours and hours waiting for the batphone. This is why guys like Xatava and Jeremy keep saying the word competition, because it sounds much cooler than the reality it labels. If someone went back and replaced every mention of compete or competition with "sit at your computer for 16 hours a day" the whole argument would look a lot sillier.

We need linked respawns.

Competition = batphone, 4am calls, sitting at computer for long hours, trains, RnF rants, whining, GM intervention, etc.

The word "Competition" won't mask the fact that P1999 raiding is like the special Olympics.

I miss the global chat where everyone gets along. I miss the top raiding guilds all rotate and act like adults. I miss people respecting other peoples personal/game life. I miss playing everquest without drama and with great friends and to have lots of good memories instead of Drama, poopsock fests, Fte battles, forum trolls and 4am batphones. Glad i installed Eqmac tonight i shall be joining that server and relaxing in a atmosphere full of adults for a change.
