I spent an equal amount of time in minecraft and wow subforums yesterday. And 2 hrs watching star trek the next generation.

I'm watching a cyberpsychology talk atm and they mention this.

Another thing they mention is some researchers argue friends of the digital self are not real friends cos they are from a world that isn't real, but they fail to consider simulation theory indicates even our base level reality is unlikely to be real either.

Gamers are mostly peaceful.

What isn't peaceful are the slaves and abused twisted broken offspring of a dying civilization. Which includes demographics outside of gamers. It just doesn't make the news as much when a non gamer does something dumb.
