Any ideas if green server will have class experience penalties? I’m sure it wasn’t explicitly stated but when did the staff do away with it? Did it go away the same as a patchy did to keep it classic or did staff remove it because it made some classes too grueling?
I don't recall exactly when it left but I am pretty sure it was after Kunark. You can expect that they will be in until after Kunark.

The people who invented the first space ships were brilliant. That doesn't mean anybody should actually want to use them 200 years later. Ideas are limited by means of execution. Everquest has amazing ideas that need to be completely reworked in their execution, in order for classic Everquest as it was envisioned to actually exist and continue to be relevant as things have evolved.

Question, if this is a live "reset server" does that mean that they are going to revert the Experience class penalties? So an Iksar SK would have like a 60% experience penalty?

Yes ... up until the point in the timeline when that changes (I forget exactly when that is; somewhere in late Kunark maybe?)

Unless the staff makes a special exception for something, the general goal is to make Green as close to the live servers as possible, and since the live servers had that penalty for that period of time, Green will too.

The hell with that. Won't even consider touching one of those classes. So stupid.

Why would anyone keep this classic aspect? Verant was so dumb they thought SKs without lifetaps and Rangers were OP and needed a nerf when they were already both objectively inferior to other classes.

Yeah, this is one of the aspects that really has no reason to be "classic." It was eventually removed for a reason.
