Just built a new PC and my first time using windows 7.

I ran duxas all in one installer (from my understanding does not update these textures) then tried to overwrite the swd files.

winrar gave me an "access denied" message on each one.

Anyone know why that might be?

1.) Back-up all current .s3d files in your Everquest folder (sort file types by using details view in windows)

what does this mean?? i used the installer cuz i suck at this crap and i dont want to mess anything up... but i would love the better graphics

What I did was make a new folder called "Texture Backups", and copied all my .s3d files from the EQ directory into that folder. Then I ran the installer, so that if things got messed up I could copy the old files back.

Is there any pack like this out there for Kunark zones? Or is that already implemented?

I pulled all of the zone files from my original Luclin update texture CD and they were dated the same as Titanium.

Using the link in the original post, I was able to download the RAR file in about 5 minutes while I was backing up my s3d files. So far I have not run into any problems since such a quick and easy upgrade.

Like so many others, I am also nostalgic about old classic EQ and I still like to get immersed in the game world just like the old days.

Upgrading the zone textures has helped improve my "nostalgic immersion" considerably. It just looks better!. It doesn't look so drastically different that it's not the same old EQ, just better.

Thanks Psycher!
