Hmmm may be a stupid question, but will this change our accounts. Will we still use eqemulator accounts?
Nothing has changed based on what has been announced; besides the risk of P99 being shutdown going away.

Hey all,

I wanted to thank you guys for the positive response we've seen about this. I understand the frustration regarding vacation time, as I'm among those who had put in for time off from work too!

I know many of you are asking for details regarding the agreement. Unfortunately, as is typically normal regarding these types of deals, we are limited with what we can divulge.

I will tell you that we do not currently have any plans to change anything about the operation of the server. This also means that we do not currently have any plans to distribute a full version of the client.

Thanks for your understanding.

Rog

This is disappointing for me. I've had an account for ages, but could never get a copy of titanium to be able to play (I don't trust downloading it from that Arrrrgh site.) Getting the client more accessible (download either here or from the DBG site) would go a long way to getting people like me into the game.

Pretty irrational fear. But that is your choice.

Not irrational at all. Someone sent me a link to download it, when I saved it to my hard drive, the virus program immediately popped up and said it was infected.

You won't be able to play then even if you find and purchase a copy of Titanium because of the .dll you are required to use for P99, which sets off a number of virus scanners.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_p...alse_negatives

Just because your anti-virus flags it doesn't necessarily mean it is actually is full of malware.

Most anti-virus programs these days are pretty awful at actually detecting real threats anyway.

What is your virus program? If you name one of the dumb ones, then yes, it was irrational and you are likely computer illiterate. I'm an IT specialist and my download was clean as a whistle. You can even check the MD5 checksum when downloading these things to make sure nothing was added or tampered with.

Plus, get a real antivirus software. Also, when downloading from the arrghh place, you click the magnet link. You do NOT download any files from the site itself. If you did, you were probably clicking on an advertisement, not the real link. Download Adblock so you don't see those sort of things.

I am sure if you have made any contacts while playing eq, someone has a copy you could borrow. I have 3 copies sitting on my shelf. 2 copies 2001 trilogy. Platinum, evolution, darn near every hard copy release since 2001.

Ask around. Nerds are everywhere.
