Game systems used to be like

first atari (whatever that was)

Then 8 Bit

Then 16 bit

Then 3D

But now we've been just basically playing PS3's with graphics card updates, since PS3

The next system totally should be "AI 3D generated images"

Prompt the game you want, play the game you've dreamed of.

Crazy.. I feel like we're so close to exponential changes.

Commodore 64 was cool

$899 in 1982 is equivalent to $2,451.59 in today's terms, based on inflation.

yeah adjusting old PC hardware to today's prices is crazy

our first modem
[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Atari SX212 and SupraModem 2400
$99.95

think the Atari was 1200 with the color monitor and some other shit, minus all the floppy disks and software and everything else at mid to late 1980s prices

generally speaking though, they appear to be doing something right, the whole concept of deceleration has been slowly growing in the zeitgeist

mostly grass is always greener syndrome i guess, cause i sure as fuck don't want to wake up at 5am to milk cows and all the other simple life shit, but they are happier than the general population afaik from studies on it

The internet exposes you to the utter stupidity of most people which is very depressing so it makes sense

In May, 2,289 unauthorized transactions were logged, and ¥200 billion of fraudulent trades were made, the FSA said in a report released last week.

That's down from April's 2,910 illicit transactions and about ¥290 billion in fraudulent trading but still high by historical standards.

The strategic rice reserve one was funny - it seems like rice isn't very expensive so operating and maintaining 300 warehouses for stockpiling it exists just to demonstrate how stupid our oil reserve also is.

out with the old gods, in with the new.

also a third player staying competitive with US and China is good.
