Was reading your post...and i've bin thinking about making a bard on P-red99, with the player base though i just really cant see myself having any fun.

I am a very social player, even if where killing each other or jus running around, its really hard to see that happening.

But i would like to try since i never played on EQ pvp at all.

There's lots of social interaction in game. It's not a every man for himself atmosphere. In fact I think the PvP aspect of it makes the social game more important then blue. Who you are aligned with, your actions, and your reputation follow you around far longer on Red.

To me meaningful pvp is to fight over something, most often a spawn. If you add yt with locatio, then you cannot ever defend or takeover any spawns since given a location of a low mana/hp character will mean you have the vultures come for you in numbers. This will be worse with scoreboards. Casters can at least flee from this, melees will be fucked. I dont think it will add numbers... However just the talk of kubark multiplied off peak population by 3-5.

Two teams with zone control maps solves the issues associated with yellow text. It lets newbs know where to go find experience groups for people on their team and where to find pvp.
