EVERYQUEST UPDATE!!!! RANGER EPIC FINISHED!
I finally got my Shattered Emerald of Corruption! The Ranger Epic is very similar storywise to the druid epic. Your quest starts talking to Telin Darkforest, who is sad that the animals are being mean. He sends you on some errand quests to do research, and it turns out that Innoruuk is to blame! You go tell some hippies in East Karana and save them from Dark Elves. As a reward, you are sent to run more errands. These include: 1. Making some goo out of plants from all over the world 2. Getting groceries 3. Helping a ranger get laid 4. Returning a lost necklace 5. Getting a dope axe for a dwarf friend Now back to the angry animals. Now, with your special bowl, dust, and special mud from your errands, you can make a special bowl! And Ella Foodcrafter can use the special goo and the special bowl to make A SPECIAL STONE! It turns out that Venril Sathir is to blame. Killing him isn't enough. You gotta rez him and then kill him again. He drops a different special stone! It turns out, these two stones must be used to rebalance nature somehow. A druid in FV does some hippie magic with them and rebalances nature. Here's where the druid and ranger epics really diverge. See, the druids then run around killing all the angry animals. But the rangers instead get to make some fun swords. Telin, as a reward for your actions thus far, gives you one of the oldest swords in the world. So you bring it to your dwarf friend. He tells you that you will need the help of an ancient dwarf smith who worked for Brell to fix up this blade. But they are all dead, right? No, it turns out that Jaeil the Wretched has imprisoned an ancient dwarf's spirit in a smithy hammer. You kill that dick, and release the dwarf from his hammer using SKY MAGIC. The ancient dwarf fixes up your sword and gives extra material to your dwarf friend, who makes you another sword. So you bring these back to your friend Telin, and his friend enchants one of the swords into the Swiftwind. She tells you to go kill one of Innoruuk's henchmen and bring back one of the corruption emeralds to finally save all the animals. You are told to bring said emerald and the other sword to Xanuusus. He rewards you for saving all the animals with the Earthcaller!!! It isn't my favorite epic storyline, but I still had fun doing it.

Idk why, but I got the impression the shattered emerald represents Innoruuk’s envious, broken heart.

EVERYQUEST UPDATE!!! KERRA ISLE FINISHED!
Feskr's Supplies First Test of Kejaar Fish Dinner Fish Dinner Recharge Gnomish Toy Health Potion Rat Teeth Razortooth Second Test of Kejaar Shiny Rings (Copper) Shiny Rings (Gold) Shiny Rings (Silver) Sylvani Leaf Quest Wislen Mamluk's Catfish I've completed everyone's favorite tropical cat city, Kerra Isle! None of the quests here are particularly interesting. The vast majority of them are low level quests where you go to far away lands to get something that the Kerrans can't get in their little hideaway. This means that the juice ain't worth the squeeze, since you are better off pretty much doing anything but running halfway across the world just to get a dogshit item. The only notable exception is the Shiny Rings, which is a Paw of Opolla subquest, which was a heavy hitter item for classic low level priests. Two quests are kind of interesting in this zone. The first is the Health Potion quest. The reward is actually decent for early era EQ, resulting in a 4WIS 10MR secondary item. I actually used this on live back in the day. But what makes this quest kinda fun is that you need to get a Tiger Skin. The quest dialogue says it has to be a tiger not from Kerra Isle. This isn't actually true, as any tiger skin works, but if you were following instructions on live, there are only 2 ways to get this Tiger Skin in classic. You can trigger the Grim's Tiger Revenge quest in Kithicor, or, the more common way to do this in classic: poach one from the Ak'Anon Zoo! The other quest (well quest line) that is mildly interesting is the Tests of Kejaar. These are the only real examples of the Kerrans fighting back against Erudite oppression. The first test, given to you by the General Shazda Asad, is to kill a wandering Erudin Emissary in Toxxulia. The second test is a little tougher, as you must kill Sentinel Creot who apparently has been causing problem for the cat people. Upon presenting his head, you become a full fledged soldier of the Sejah, the elite Catman fighting force.

How long did it take you to get Razortooth to spawn? I've heard horror stories of long camps.
Also curious how long it took to get a darkwater piranha in Nek Forest. Does the recharge work? | ||

Razortooth wasn't so bad.
Venomous Spikefish was an absolute nightmare.

Am I right in thinking the quest wharf rat is a named mob on p99? On live I remember doing wharf rats with my shaman. There the 'named' wharf rat didn't have a custom name plate - it was just higher level and the kerran's speech text is what gave it it's in lore name.

Op, how are you doing every request in the game? Do you have a quest character for every race and faction? What are you doing on one character? I don’t understand that.
