Getting the same error today 1017. Played on this install with same network drivers for the last couple of months. No changes on my end.

I've played with no changes for like 3 years, it's definitely on their end.

Yeah im having the same problem here. Yesterday under the high server stress (we had like a billion people on!) I was playing without any problem (apart from graphical lag spikes)...but today, no joy.
Glad you guys are working on the issue! Keep up the good work lads (and lasses possibly?)

There are 757 people still connected to the server according to the server list. Are these folks who haven't disconnected since the problem started or do they know some trick to get in?

There likely isn't a secret and whatever server they use for logins is choking to death. Every time it comes back up ( assuming they're on some sort of monitoring/restart script ) a couple hundred people all hit it at once and a few get good responses and the rest bring the server back down.

Just a guess though. No idea how their architecture is setup.

Well, I will just jump on the bandwagon, I am also having this issue. I can access Red without a problem though. I agree with some other comments, it is probably a choke point where a smattering of people get in at once then it seizes back up. I will try again later.
