Update: I have finished all the iksar and am onto ogre females now. Retexture chat got real fun. "What is that on her lip? Is that green drool or another piercing? What is that stuff on her chin? WHAT IS THAT ON HER FACE?!"

They'll take a bit longer just because they have a lot of fabulous details (like scars, acne, boils, and all kinds of fun things) and the upscale wasn't too nice to them. Same for trolls.

Default Epics & Particle Weapons!

Some differences are very subtle because epic weapon textures are pretty high-resolution to begin with. Everything except Ragebringer's handle texture and Innoruuk's Curse handle texture have been upscaled, including the particle effects, and some stuff I manually retextured a bit.

Ragebringer blade, hilt & pommel retextured:

This is to show the difference between the brand new classic blade texture and the upscaled & retextured classic blade texture, as well as the very subtle improvement on the rest of the weapon from the upscaling.

The following were only upscaled, nothing retouched by hand. Barely noticeable difference, but if you look closely you can see a bit more sharpness and clarity, less pixelation in the particle effects, etc.

I've been beta testing, but haven't seen a single issue so I haven't reported back.

I will say that since I mostly play casters I haven't noticed a ton of difference. However, every now and then I'll pass someone with a cool sword or shield, and the difference will be very noticeable.

not sure if you already addressed this one, but this is a big wish list item for me!

will I be able to get the character and weapons, and NOT the environment updated textures? I like my enviorn textures to be the OG eq textures (which is why I love your updated ones, they look so much like the og character textures, just updated!)

or.. is that a dumb question becuse that's always the way its been and will continue to be?

Yep. Haven't touched any zone textures yet, and if we do that'll be an entirely separate thing.
