Even if you aren't in CA which is easy to make the 100k +, because that's about middle wage in CA, but 6 figure isn't all what it is cracked up to be, UNLESS the first number starts with an 8 or a 9.

Once you crack that and if you are smart enough, your real take home will be less than 100k, because all of the rest is going in to some kind of 'investment'.

Also, I highly doubt a game company is paying 'good' money for coders on an mmo. Their doors are revolving...ALL THE TIME! I have a few friends in the field and they've worked for big names like EA and more.

It's honestly a scam. They hire you, make you work 60 hour weeks only to lay you off within 2 years or less. Then they move that 'software' production to Canada to save money for a few years, then back to the US, then....well rinse and repeat.

Well you got me there. I don't have photos or news articles to reference. But, I assure you all those companies are the same. They, in the end, are all crap.

Great to work for at first, decent money, environment is fun, good people, then ... there is the door.

Go work for a medical or web dev company. Stay safe.

I have not yet met someone that wouldn't dump a box to get a real person. All group sizes above 3 are more efficient exp (by design), and a real person plays better than a box on a second or third window.
