Thing is, in Kunark you could still PVP a BIS player while wearing some more casual gear. Velious brought about the ability to take up raiding as a second job in order to have a crazy gear advantage over your enemy. To some people fighting people with half your HP is considered fun, I never got that.

The Velious gear advantage is huge no doubt, but Kunark gear can still hold up against it. Especially with a few of the attainable Velious pieces.

At the moment the only guild getting Velious BIS gear is absolutely loaded with blue players outside of a small core of decent pvpers. So most the gear is wasted anyway when it comes to pvp.

I remember that time when all of the try hards in this thread got the entire server to join their zerga and fight all the shity warm bodies in empire. They got skullfucked in 4 massive pvp fights and disbanded their guild. They are all still in denial.
