Regardless of whoever hosts TNF. If you actually have GM sponsorship for the event, do not miss this opportunity to finally select some terrain that isn't flat ground. All this does is require you to have a bard in order to have a chance of winning, and eliminates 90% of what factors into real pvp.

Things to consider when selecting terrain

Line of Sight structures

Places to hide

Thin walls on which to chase people

Structures that allow you to alternate your altitude



Take this video for example. I had a bard, rogues and monks on me... Had this fight taken place on flat ground, and I had no trees to hide behind. I dont think I need to go into very much detail about what would have happened. Lets just say I would have plugged 10 seconds into this video.

PVP is not meant to occur on flat ground.



I support this event 100% and would love to attend. However, if it is to be hosted on flat ground Barcode myself and many other Azrael veterans won't be attending.

I am personally super psyched for hosted outdoor battlegrounds. Sirken has envisioned exactly what will increase this servers population and promote more pvp. Perhaps will be lucky enough to see a restriction on open world pvp soon and instanced dungeons.

The population is growing, even though 80% of the server is one guild, clearly there is more pvp now than ever seen before. Thursday night fights will only serve to increase the population more as it has clearly done in the past.

these events just always turn into gay as fuck boring shit fests of unbalanced teams, team mates killing their team mates cuz of brain rot, ppl intentionally throwing fights cuz every1 is hoping they will win an AoN, ppl constantly attacking rezzed participants, etc. this coming from one of the most winning players in scheduled pvp history having 1v2'ed zozo and sickpuppy as a warrior to win the 2v2 sanctioned fights.

I've never had this experience in TNF. but then again, I am good player and people want me on their teams.

The fact that a team you were on won anything is just better proof that flat ground is broken mechanic.
