Just reading through this thread shows why posting on this forum is generally pretty pointless when you are trying to make a decision on which guild to join. My opinion is below, but take it with a grain of salt in that I have been in Nihilum since I have been on the server and played with some of the people in Nihilum on Sullon Zek during Live.

If you want to be the top guild in Velious, join Nihilum. Being the top guild means better leadership, reliable number of people raiding / actively playing, and more loot. I would also like to think the more mature players are on this side of the fence. The thickest neckbeards are here.

If you want to be the underdog in Velious, join Azrael. The underdog means less quality leadership (but still someone in charge), numbers that are less than reliable, probably better pvp fights because most of the time you have less people, and less loot. A lot of these people only log in when the going is good (which is why their numbers aren't as steady), but you do have some hardcore PVPers that PVP 24/7. In my time on the server, I have seen more Azrael griefers than Nihilum. (To me, griefing is not in range pvp, it is bind camping and twinking alts in unrest to kill new people on server)

That is the current state as it is now, but it could always turn around if the leadership situation changes in Nihilum, or Azrael works on appearing less toxic and gets better recruits.

Both guilds have their share of bad apples, and both guilds have had things happen in the past that they probably are not proud of. It is what happens when you have a low population server that has been around for years with server rules that have historically not been crystal clear and inconsistent punishments for infractions.

That being said, I think the server is the best now that it has ever been, and there has never been a better time to play on the Red server. Good luck with where you decide to end up, and at the end of the day, we all play this game because we enjoy the PVE and PVP aspects of one of the best games ever created. Turns out, Velious was the best expansion!

I'm surprised you are even trying to consider your fight vs skar a 1v1 when your buff bar is filled with cleric, chanter and shaman buffs. It's almost like you guys box buff mules everywhere.... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Salem challenged me to an honor duel and it was agreed no buffs. Sly prick got a shaman to fully buff him and used a ds pot, winning the fight by 2%

Lesson learned azrael have no honor, if I want an honor duel with any of their members better get a gm to organise it. You guys plain suck and can't fight without the upper hand. No wonder you get smashed with equal numbers and always make excuses about being out geared or outzerged, I guess you always need that upper hand.
